Maths that builds confidence, not dread

Mathtopus makes KS3 maths practice papers for the people helping a young person through Years 7 to 9: parents at the kitchen table, tutors planning a lesson, and home educators mapping out a term.

Every paper covers a single topic, so you can target the exact thing your child is stuck on instead of wading through a mixed pack. Questions build gently from easy to hard, there’s proper space to show working, and a plain-English mark scheme comes with every paper. That means you can mark it with confidence even if the maths is a distant memory — no exam-board codes, no jargon, just clear answers that show how each mark is earned. They’re built to look and feel like something a good tuition centre would hand out, and they print cleanly on ordinary A4 at home.

Maths has been a lifelong passion of mine, backed by a master’s degree — but Mathtopus really started at my own kitchen table. I have a 12-year-old son I’m helping through KS3, and every paper is written with him in mind: if it doesn’t help him, it doesn’t earn a place in the shop. The range is growing, with more KS3 topics and resources on the way, all held to the same standard. If a paper ever falls short for you, message me and I’ll put it right.

Mathtopus. Maths from every angle.

Target one topic

Every paper covers a single topic, so you can drill the exact thing your child is stuck on — not wade through a mixed pack.

Plain-English marking

A full mark scheme comes with every paper, in plain English, showing how each mark is earned. No exam-board codes, no jargon.

Written for a real kid

Master’s-level maths, tested at my own kitchen table. If it doesn’t help my son through KS3, it doesn’t earn a place in the shop.
