What is 15% of 60? You can do it in your head, no calculator. To find a percentage of an amount, start from ten percent — just divide by ten — then build up. Thirty percent is three lots of ten percent, shown here on a bar model, and five percent is half of ten percent, so fifteen percent is ten percent plus five percent. This lesson works through three examples using one reliable method.
